Chettinad Weavers — Sivaganga District

The Chettinad weaving community in Sivaganga district is known for their bold, vibrant cotton sarees with iconic geometric patterns and temple borders. We work with over 40 weaver families here, many of whom have been practising their craft for five or more generations.

Each Chettinad saree takes 2-3 days to weave on a traditional pit loom. The weavers use pre-shrunk cotton yarn and azo-free dyes to ensure colour-fast, skin-friendly fabric.
